How to Make Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting
Mixing the Frosting Ingredients
Making this dairy free cream cheese frosting recipe is incredibly easy to do.
To start, you’ll want to mix the cream cheese, butter, vanilla and salt in a bowl until smooth.
You can whisk everything by hand or use an electric mixer – be careful if you do use an electric mixer though, overmixing will result in a runnier frosting, so mix as little as necessary until smooth.
Then, add the powdered sugar in 1/2 cup increments, mixing in between just until it starts getting smooth.
Once all the powdered sugar is added, give it a good whisking to make it smooth.
If the frosting is still a little runny, you can add a bit more powdered sugar until the desired consistency is reached.
